Winter Waves!

curls courtesy of the - Remington Silk Curling Wand! << BUY IT HERE

Ello! Ello! Ello!
On a recent shopping trip to Boots I picked up a new curling wand for my hair. Now, I'm not really one for doing much to my hair, I don't have the patience to sit in front of the mirror for hours curling piece by piece and I've never actually used a wand on my hair before but oh my lorrrrrrrd have I been missing out haha!
They're so easy to use and literally take around 10 minutes to make you look like a completely different person. I felt like Beyonce in Austin Powers with a huge afro.. obviously mine wasn't as big as hers but you feel me!

So I thought I'd do a step by step to show you how I went from my natural boring hair to these gorgeous effortless waves, let's go shall we..

1. First, pull all your hair back into a tight-ish pony at the back of your head.
2. Start by sectioning your hair into smaller pieces.
3. Then take each part and wrap it round the wand, hold it there for around 10-15 second! NOTE: not too long though, you don't wanna end up like that girl whose hair fell off!!
4. Keep repeating this until all the pony is curled.
5. Once all your hair is curled, take the bobble out and run your fingers through your hair.
(don't be too intense with this step, you don't wanna end up with an afro!)
6. When you're happy with how the curls look spray them with hairspray and scrunch your hair up to make sure the curls stay in!
(don't worry if they're really tight right now, they'll drop throughout the day!)
7. Finally, style them how you wish!

(this was later on in the day so the curls had dropped!)

And you've got your finished product! I loooooove having curly hair, it makes me look so much older and I think it really adds something to your look even though it only took 10 minutes! There's just something about girls who can work the 'effortless' look, if you're one of those girls.. I ENVY YOU. I prefer the looser waves rather than the tight curly one, I don't really enjoy looking like a poodle!

Let me know if you enjoyed this and I may do more in the future, I'm thinking an everyday make-up look to come soon or an autumnal make-up post. ANYWAAAAAY.. throw a comment my way if you liked this!

Shake It Like A Polaroid Pictuuurrrreeee..

So recently I discovered 'polagram' and at first I was a bit hesitant to try it because I'm not normally one for having photos covering my bedroom walls apart from when I was 14 and I had the Jonas Brothers plastered on every inch of the walls. But eventually I bit the bullet and used their app to print some of my favorite memories into adorable little Polaroids and myyyy was I amazed! They look so good!

(They arrived in this bright pink envelope which instantly caught my eye)

I seriously can't complain with how any of them turned out, they stuck to being high quality and none of the photo was cut off by the Polaroid frame.
If you're thinking about sprucing your room or house up with some cute little memories definitely download the Polagram app and get making! These 7 prints cost me only £3.72 :)

Let me know in the comments if you've bought any Polaroids from Polagram!

OOTD: 20th Birthday!!

Soooo here's my birthday outfit(s) of the day!
Last week I done a post on my birthday wishlist featuring all clothes from Missguided (if you scroll down you'll be able to find it!) and I couldn't decide whether or not to go dressy or casual and seeing as I had 2 birthday nights out I thought I'd go casual 1 night and dressy the other..

So on my actual birthday I wore this yellow cami top which I bought from Bershka, unfortunately it was a store in Fuerteventura so I'm unsure whether or not they sell it here in the UK! along with some black skinny jeans from Primark and a pair of boot heels which I bought from a online seller! I loved this outfit because it was just so casual and laid back but also dressy at the same time.

On the Saturday I went out for a meal with a few of my other friends and then into town, safe to say.. I had a ball! Like a lot of other girls I'm so un-organised when it comes to what I'm going to wear, so here's me running through town trying to find an outfit at half 5 in the evening.. baring in mind, I was supposed to be meeting them at 8! (oops)
In the end I bought this gorgeous jacket from Forever 21. I'm not normally one for white clothing but I've been dying for a blazer/jacket for so long and at £18 I couldn't pass on the opportunity! Sadly, I looked online for it but they only had it in red, so if you're a red sort of person here's the link!

After buying that I thought what am I supposed to wear this with, I'm awful at styling things with jackets!! After hours of looking I couldn't find a thing (which I was so disappointed with!). Usually there's always going to be something that catches your eye, but not this time :(
I was in dyer need of some new heels so I thought why not some white ones to match my white jacket! It's safe to say I was a GIANT. If I stood next to my mum and dad they practically needed binoculars to look up at me, they were huge. I'll give it to the shoes, they didn't start to hurt my feet until the end of the night which was a bonus! I absolutely adore chunky heels like these because they're just so easy to wear either casually and dressy & they were only £25 which was a bargain *dancing emoji!*

Here's a few little photos from the night:

Jacket - Forever 21
Black Bardot Crop Top - Missguided
Shorts - Primark
Heels - Daisy Street
Yellow Satchel - Primark

I hope you've enjoyed reading this post, I had such an amazing few days thanks to my friends and family!

Birthday Wishlist: Miss Guided!

Hellooooo

Seeing as i'm turning 20 on Wednesday I thought I'd do a little post on a few different outfits I've been debating for my birthday and because I've been loving (stalking) miss guided's website recently I thought I'd put together a few little outfits I found on there that I could wear throughout the day as well as the night time!

My first one was this adorable little dress, I saw it and well, it's hard to know what the weather's going to be like next week here in England I mean one minute it's sweltering hot and the next it's raining, what the hell!?!? I also loved the fedora hat the model's wearing on the photo, and because I do love me a good hat I thought mine and this dress would be perfect along with some little boot heels or sandals!

It's so fricking cute & If you fancy purchasing it you can get it here!

So my second look is more for the day time I think (depending on the weather), but paired with some heels I could definitely wear this for the night. The shorts are so pretty and I fell in love with the pattern as soon as I saw them and the scallop hemmed top just goes so well. I bought a black choker online recently as well so I was thinking that along with some sandals & a little pouch bag!

To buy the shorts you can get them here and the top here!

This third one is probably my favorite outfit out of them all! Seems as I'm getting old(ish) I think this outfit is perfect, it's so vintage looking and classic with a little modern twist on it!

The colors are so summery and pastel is by far one of my favorite color trends this year! The skirt, well I fell in love as soon as I clicked onto it.. how can you not love the color and just everything about it?? I've been looking around for a statement necklace to go with this as well but so far I've had no luck :(

You can find the skirt here, the top here and the shoes here!

Finally, my last outfit well.. I thought it's definitely a night time one. I was looking at this dress a few weeks ago for a friends birthday but couldn't make my mind up whether I liked it or not. I thought I'd probably look like something from an Austin Powers movie..

Now I know that these type of shoes aren't everybody's cup of tea but I love them, I feel like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex In The City in them & I love it!

You can find the dress here & the shoes here.

Hopefully you've enjoyed this post & by the time that it's my birthday hopefully I would've found an outfit. Keep an eye out for my birthday OOTD which I'll probably be posting on the Weekend!

Thanks for reading <3

It's so flowy and weightless and I can wear it in the day time as well as at night. The best thing about it is, it only cost me £15 which is a bargain!

The Perfect Summer Kimono: New Look Edition!

Hey guys!
Just a small post from me today, I recently went on shopping trip into Liverpool city center with my friend Becca and went into New Look. Now usually I walk straight past New Look because I think of it as a hit and miss shop, meaning that the majority of the time I go in, look in one section and walk back out because I cant find anything that I like! But oh no, this time was different! I went in there just on the off chance that they may have any kimono's for me and my friend & oh boy did they deliver! They had so many in different colors and designs, some with tassels, others with long or short sleeves, they were all gorgeous & I finally decided on this monochrome aztec printed one after a good 25 minutes of debating with myself!

I absolutely love it!
It was an absolute bargain as well, costing me just £24.99 - you can buy it Here if you wish! (take a look at the others as well while you're there!)

I wore this recently on a night out with a pair of black leggings and a black cropped cami top. I don't think you need to wear a lot of patterns or bright colors when wearing a kimono like this because of the bold print!

Hope you've enjoyed this little post.

Who Says Healthy Is Boring?!

Hi again :)
Now we all know keeping to a routine isn't the easiest thing to do, especially when it comes to healthy eating! Me personally, I love healthy eating.. fruit & salad are one of the main parts of my diet, especially fruit! But I also love sweets and chocolate.
(DO YOU SEE MY PROBLEM)

So Summer last year I joined the gym, and in the space of about 6 months I think I used it 2 times, waste of money I know but I thought to myself I'm determined to get back into it which I have. I even went and bought some new trainers and gym clothes, which to me made me more motivated! I thought I would do a post on exercise and healthy eating to hopefully motivate those of you who might be lacking in encouragement and determination, like I was a few months ago.

Firstly I don't usually have a lot of time in the day to just sit around and do nothing, what with work and everything so this is just a quick and easy workout you can add in to your daily routine that takes up to about 10 minutes each day! So if you're like me and don't like your legs this is a 10 minute 'legs, bums and tums' at home workout;

So before you begin make sure you're warmed up and are hydrated, if it helps stick some music on to get you motivated a bit more.

First you start with squats which is absolutely perfect if you want a firm bum and thighs. Begin with 2 sets of 24 reps, ensure your feet are shoulder width apart (you don't want to be looking like you're taking a dump!) put your arms down by your sides or if you're a bit unbalanced holding them out in front of you is helpful. Lower yourself down by bending your knees until they are at a 90 degree angle with your thighs parallel to the floor. Make sure your back is straight and don't let your knees extend to over your toes! Like I said before, do 2 sets of 24 reps at a pace that you think is suitable for you, don't over work yourself.

Next.. LUNGES! Again, these are great for your bum and thighs! So I'm pretty sure you all done these in P.E. class when you were in school. Simple, stand in a split stance with your right leg forward and your left leg back. Bend the knee slowly, lowering yourself into a lunge position, your knees should be at a right angle near enough. Keep the weight in your heels and push back into the position you started with. Ensure your back is straight and once again don't let your knees extend to over your toes. Do 1 set of 20-25 reps on each leg.

Now a bit of a relaxing one for us all, after those 2 I was pretty tired out but I put a bit of 5 Seconds of Summer on and I was loving life, haha! So next we'll do some side-lying leg raises, now I don't know if yous have done these in P.E. class. To begin lay on your side with your knee bent at 90 degrees and your other leg straight and in line with your back. Make sure your hip is tilted slightly forward and raise your straight leg as far as you can get it without letting your hips tilt back, slowly lower your leg to the position you started in and repeat around 10 times then swap legs! Simple as!

Finally, I like to end with a little stretch and cool off routine which increases your flexibility and reduces your heart rate. Make sure you're stretching all the muscles you've used during the workout for example your Buttocks, Hamstrings and Inner Thighs.

So that's it, repeat these as much as you possibly can and hopefully you'll see the difference after a few weeks! I'm going to try and stick to this and do it as much as I can, maybe every day if I'm not slaving away behind a bar!

Onto the healthy diet part, WATER WATER AND MORE WATER.. I say this but I drink around 1 glass of water every other day, it's really bad! I always say to myself in the morning that I'm going to drink more water today and it never happens.. I need will power.
I'm trying to find a flavored tea that I'm going to actually enjoy drinking, so far I've tried green tea, lemon tea, raspberry and chamomile and they've all made me feel a tad sick so I'm still on the search for one that doesn't turn my stomach!
It's important to have a balanced diet when you're trying to lose weight because what's the point in doing all that exercise and then going home and stuffing your face with pizza and kebabs! Despite what it says in a lot of magazines and on TV programmes, healthy eating is actually pretty straightforward if you try to eat plenty of fruit and veg, plenty of starchy foods like bread, rice and pasta, some meats, fish and a small amount of foods that are high in fat or sugar.

Thanks for reading & leave me some feedback in the comments if you've tried any of the exercises.
